Best Boston Nightlife For Every Stage In Your Life

home-1

What’s worse than being 25 and walking into a bar full of college freshmen? Not much. As a new resident of Boston, I have found myself in positions at bars and other venues that were just not age appropriate. Here is a list of Boston venues depending on your age group:

18 And Up: Rise

residentadvisor.com

Rise is a safe haven for the little ones who can’t quite drink yet. Dance until the wee hours of the morning (as long as your parents approve) to an eclectic mix of electronic dance music. The cover is discounted from 20 dollars to 10 with a college id at this multi-level venue. Rise is located at 306 Stuart Street, Boston MA.

College AF: Ned Devines

Remember when I said I walked into a bar crawling with college kids? Ned Devines was the culprit. You must be of the legal drinking age, of course (No fake IDS kids). Go celebrate your completion of your last round of finals with your sorority sisters or your 21st at this absolute madness of a bar. Ned Devine’s is located in the famous Faneuil Hall.

Early 20’s: Landsdowne

Landsdowne is my favorite spot in Boston when I want to let loose and have fun. It is filled with people in their mid-twenties wanting to blow off some steam from a long work week. It has a live band on the weekends, followed by a phenomenal DJ. In addition, if you’re broke like the average millennial, you will love their cheap drink menu (5 dollar coronas is my jam). Landsdowne is located, ironically enough, on 9 Landsdowne street in Fenway.

Young And Professional : Society On High

Society On High has a reputation to be a popular destination for the young professional who usually works on State street or anywhere in the finance district. It is perfect for not only a professional work lunch, but also a night out with your buddies and a crowd who shares the same values and goals as you. Although Landsdowne is a good destination for twenty somethings, Society on High has a different more sophisticated vibe. Society On High is located on 99 High Street.

30’s and Sophisticated: Eastern Standard

Eastern Standard has nothing less than stellar reviews on Yelp. Past patrons praise them for a great welcoming staff and their tasteful desserts and cocktails.  You can go to this age appropriate venue if you are ever in the Kenmore Square area.

Mom and Dad Life: City Bar

tripadvisor.com

Located in the well known Lenox hotel, City Bar possesses a mature, posh vibe that usually attracts a mature crowd any day of the week. Whether you’re looking to get away from the kids for a night with the hubby or catching up with old friends from college, City Bar is the place for you. You can even have a little staycation if you’re feeling adventurous.
