Explore Boston’s Second Hand Fashion

Owned and operated by AIDS Action Committee, New England’s leading provider of HIV prevention, Boomerangs has been a leading force in organizing help to defend against infections and provide support to those who are affected. Each location (Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, Central Square, and the South End) opens their doors for donations to receive from corporate supporters and ordinary citizens. With every purchase of clothes, furniture, books, electronics, and housewares you are being a part of the fight against HIV. Seeing your money support a good cause, it doesn’t hurt to spend your money on Boston second hand fashion here and have a good time in a good environment as well.

Buffalo Exchange Allston:

Another second-hand fashion store is Buffalo Exchange where you can get clothing as cheap as $7.50 for a pair of shorts. Designer jeans, dress shirts, sweatshirts, Frye boots and much more can be found at very low prices. Cleaning out your wardrobe can become profitable if you bring everything here to consign for direct cash or store credit. They do, however, pick only the good ones from the donations so their customers don’t have to go through the trouble of finding quality material. Buffalo Exchange also features jewelry and is a fantastic store for students.

Good Will JP:

Right next to Jamaica Plain’s Boomerangs, Good Will is also a thrifting haven. This store has great finds of sweatshirts, skirts, short sleeves, tanks, as well as men’s pair of pants, t-shirts, dress shirts and much more. Apart from clothing, they also have a household section, but it’s not as diverse as the clothing selection. Good Will is a great place to find that quirky sweater at an unbeatable price.

Garment District:

Situated at 200 Broadway, Cambridge, this store has a great collection of items from garments all the way to fancy masks. Everything here is gently used and up for display for the people who either can’t afford the new expensive prices or just love to hunt their way in finding gems. Nowhere else can you find “The Pit”, a massive pile of a menagerie of clothes that you pay for by the pound. Get digging!

Urban Renewals Allston:

Although it is hard to find parking near Urban Renewals, the store does present good arrangement and variety in clothes. Many of the thrifters come and go with great finds. Whether it’s t-shirts or tanks that you’re looking for, this store is just way too frugal. It should be noted that there isn’t a fitting room to try on clothes, but there is an ATM.

Second Time Around Newbury St:

The Second Time Around is located at 219 Newbury Street. From shoes to top hats, this place has got almost everything for both men and women. Their excellent service and courteous team proudly sell amazing collections of handbags, dresses, jewelry and other goods at a fraction of the retail price. All the fashion and trends are available for you at Second Time Around.
