Calling all whisky lovers! Tonight at the Solas Irish Pub on Boylston Street, executive chef Sean MacAlpine will be offering a three-course meal accompanied by Macallan Whisky. The event takes place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., and costs $90 per person.
The event will start with a cocktail hour from 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m, which will include passed hors d’oeuvres. The dinner will then start with a first course including butter-braised halibut, a second course of roasted Long Island duck breast, and a dessert including chocolate ganache tart. The featured whiskys of the evening will include a 12 year sherry oak, a 15 year fine oak, a 12 year double cask, and a rare cask.
The dinner will be hosted by a Macallan Whisky specialist, who will walk guests through the dinner and answer questions about each whisky being served. Each whisky has been specially selected to perfectly pair with the course being served, so that the tastes will complement one another.
