Hidden Faces | Sister Rainbow

Walking through the Boston Common’s the other day, I noticed a gathering of people in the distance all cheering and conversing with each other. Camera’s were rolling and some people were speaking to the group with a microphone in front of the state house. It turned out to be a group of people practicing their free speech on being a sanctuary city. Everyone in the crowd stood out in their own way,  but one person caught my eye in particular. Introducing this week’s #HiddenFace Shifra Freewomen, AKA Sister Rainbow. When I asked her to tell me a little about herself and her story, Sister Rainbow only had one thing to say, “Let’s be a welcoming space for everyone, a place of love and inclusion.”
