Celebrate National Ice Cream Sandwich Day in Boston

Celebrate National Ice Cream Sandwich Day this Wednesday, August 2nd!

You may think there is absolutely no better holiday than National Ice Cream Day. And you’re not wrong—BUT, a close second is here this Wednesday, August 2nd: National Ice Cream Sandwich Day! Whether you’re a chipwich fanatic or a classic Hood ice cream sandwich lover, we all have reason to celebrate!

The ice cream sandwich was pioneered in the Bowery neighborhood of New York City in 1900, where it was sold for one cent. Since then, the dessert has definitely increased in price, but also taken the world by storm. Now, the ice cream sandwich is very easily one of America’s favorite desserts—it’s easy to distribute, and even easier to devour. And let’s take a second to appreciate the true blessing that is the chipwich movement, shall we? Ice cream between two warm, freshly-baked cookies? WE ARE SOLD.

Although the beloved treat is no longer sold for a penny, we’re still huge fans; which is why this Wednesday is surely the second best day of the summer (next to national ice cream day, of course)! And lucky for you, we’re here to show you how you can celebrate the holiday in the best city in the nation.
