Are you stranded in Boston this Thanksgiving with nowhere to go? Are you not up to spending time with your family this year? Are you just really bad at cooking? Well fear not, because there are plenty of restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving Day in the city. Their offerings vary from traditional turkey dinners to clever spins on holiday favorites. Be sure to check them out, as Turkey Day is just not the same without the turkey.

Artbar

Stop by the Royal Sonesta Hotel’s Artbar in Cambridge for a full Thanksgiving feast. From 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., you can stop by for a bourbon cider-brined turkey, brioche stuffing, whipped Yukon potatoes, sweet potatoes, and roasted butternut squash salad. For dessert, the hotel offers a house-made pie station offering apple-cranberry crumb pie, chocolate pecan pie with caramel bacon drizzle, and bourbon pumpkin cheesecake. Vegetarian options are also available. The meal costs $5o per person, while children under 10 can eat for $19 and children under 3 can eat for free.

Aura

From 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., the Aura at The Seaport Hotel will be serving a brunch buffet accompanied by live music from the Lance Houston Jazz Quartet. The buffet will include brunch classics like eggs Benedict and French toast, a raw bar with clams, oysters, and shrimp, and some holiday favorites including roast turkey breast, roasted honey ham, cornbread stuffing, and maple syrup casserole. This meal is a bit on the pricey side, costing $85 for adults, $25 for kids under 12, and free for kids under 4.

Five Horses Tavern

This restaurant has two locations, one in Boston’s South End and one in Somerville’s Davis Square. Both locations are offering two Thanksgiving specials available now through Thanksgiving Day: a gobbler sandwich and a roast turkey dinner. The restaurants will open at 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving, will serve the specials in addition to their full regular menu. The specials cost between $14 and $18.

Mirbeau Inn & Spa at the Pinehills

This Thanksgiving, take it back to where it all began. This inn is located in Plymouth, and offers a three-course meal from 12:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. The first course includes escargot, torchon of foie gras, grilled oysters, and beef carpaccio. The entrees will include turkey with confit leg, sausage-cornbread stuffing, filet mignon and butter-poached lobster, beef bourguignon, and trout almandine. The meal costs $65 per person, and $15 for children 12 and under.

Beat Brasserie

This restaurant is open from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and offers three different spins on a classic turkey dinner. The first option is your typical farm-raised turkey, the second option is a vegetarian entree with roasted vegetables and mushroom and leek stuffing, and the final option is a Thanksgiving Bowl Azteca. This includes avocado, adobo-spiced quinoa, and tomatillo salsa. The appetizers and entrees on offer range in price from $10 to $42.

Make sure that your Thanksgiving Day is as turkey-filled and delicious as you deserve. Stop by one of these restaurants, or check out bostonchefs.com for other restaurants that are open over the holiday.
